Quite a day in the press for Chelsea fans, good news on one hand, the 18 month transfer ban has been quashed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, bad news on the other, JT loses the England armband......hmmm......actually is it bad news for Chelsea fans?

No doubt JT will be hurt by this, not just losing the armband, but as happens with all senior figures within the England set up, sooner or later the press will skin you alive, maybe he was indiscreet BUT he has helped guide this side to the finals in great style, and that is what is really important. We all know there will be songs on the terraces and booing, but how many of those that take the piss can actually say he did a bad job?

What will come out of this I suspect is that Terry will stick out his chest and try even harder to prove himself on the pitch, which is why it is good news for CFC fans, on course for a double and with the man that provides the backbone (along with a few others) determined to stick two fingers up at his detractors.

Those in line for the job are Rio, Stevie G, Lamps and Rooney.......with Rio as favourite, which is kind of ironic since he has a somewhat murky past with a missed drugs test and subsequent ban. I'm not sure who's the next best man for the job........but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be Rooney, he is much better left to concentrate on being the forward predator we all know he is. I think lamps would do a good job, but that may well be down to my Chelsea bias.

Finishing off on a lighter note, I saw a great quote today in the wake of ex Chelsea misfit Avram Grant being caught at a brothel, which he claims was an innocent 'massage parlour'

His wife said.....

'He works so hard, I think he deserves a massage once a day, and from two women, not one. It's not a brothel, but a massage parlour. Considering the pressure that Avram is under at Portsmaouth, I'm angry with him for not going every day for a massage. Avram loves a massage. He enjoys an Australian massage,a Japanese massage and Thai massage. I'm looking forward to coming to England to visit and having a massage there with him'

John Terry is no doubt hoping for such blind devotion from his missus!
